This chart shows the relation between latitude and temperature. There appears to be a curvilinear relationship between latitude and temperature. Cities in the far north (particularly at latitudes 40-80), had very cold maximum temperatures in January 2022. By contrast, southern cities appeared to have more mild temperatures in the 60-80 degree Fahrenheit range; however, there were a few cities with temperatures in the 40-50 degree Fahrenheit range. Cities around the equator appeared to have the highest temperatures.
